Submissions by Remote Referencing vs Submissions by Online Referencing

We are all looking at ways to make efficient changes and ensure that we have our resources being utilised in such a way that will give the best customer service, free up time to conduct more pro-active tasks and be able to add to the bottom line. One of the ways you can do that is by submitting all referencing applications via the Remote Referencing System.

As you probably all know by now we have a fully automated electronic referencing application system. This submission process has reduced the number of rejected files to zero. Submitting via this method also prevents any of the required information fields being missed and prevents delays. It also means that difficult names/places etc are usually spelt correctly and therefore makes the credit search a more accurate one, giving us a much higher percentage found first time. You have control over how the form, once completed by the applicant is delivered, i.e. Straight to You, To you and to Us, or Straight to Us. The system picks up the form real time and will start to process the referencing requests immediately it has reached our servers. We would encourage that all applicants put referee fax numbers and email addresses wherever possible as this also speeds up the referencing.

Meanwhile many of our clients submit via the online system where you have the option as an agent to fill the application online and submit, however, this does not have the same time saving efficiencies for you or for us. If you receive a manually completed form, someone at your office has to then complete the form online by transferring the data from the handwritten form, this can lead to dates of birth being transposed, names spelt incorrectly and fields missed which could mean that the file is rejected for missing information. This could also skew a credit search result or may result in it having to be re-searched when information is corrected which can delay the response.
